Jan and I went to Sandy Spring’s newest restaurant, Maya, tonight. Located in the original Rumi’s location at Roswell and Hildebrand, the food and service were phenomenal. Chef Mimmo has developed a Bone’s quality steak menu, quality wine list and the best of gras this side of Paris. A great new addition to the growing constellation of high-quality Sandy Springs eateries!
Steak is one of my favorite meals but being a picky eater makes it hard to find one I truly like but at MAYA I have found a new love. The Center Cut Choice Filet is my new favorite Steak in Atlanta! Cooked to perfection and served with a glass of red wine, I was in heaven.
Amazing food and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. The Prime Beef Carpaccio was incredible and the NY Strip was simply delicious! Chef Mimmo has done it again! 5 stars
My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine’s dinner on Sunday. (Saturday was completely booked!) It was definitely worth the wait. Everything was delicious. I had the filet. Also I am in love with the white truffle mac n’ cheese. :-) We had a great dinner. The atmosphere and decor was wonderful. I LOVE the wood, leather and all the unique lights! We will definitely be back. I suggest making a reservation, as even Sunday night dinner was very busy.
Genuinely overwhelmed with pride for my brother from another mother, Chef Mimmo Alboumeh. Incredible dinner. Best steak in Atlanta and he’s one of the best restauranteurs in Atlanta.
Prime ribeyes the equal in quality, flavor and price of Chops, Hal’s, etc. Tuna and escargot appetizers extremely tasty and a good deal. When the bill is viewed in its totality, you can live with the pricing on the steaks. Seafood is a reasonably priced option worth getting. Cooking is sophisticated. They know not to drown fresh salads in dressing and in all dishes they allow the natural flavors to come through. Not a misstep, service or otherwise, down to the unique garlic butter and hot bread.
Maya Steakhouse in Sandy Springs is one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Atlanta. I’m so happy it’s located in my neighborhood of Sandy Springs!! My husband and I started out with Maya’s Crab Cocktail of colossal crab meat, white shrimp and salsa rosa . True perfections!! Then we ordered the Prime Beef Carpaccio with white truffle cream, capers and manchego- a true vision of tastiness. For dessert I tried my all time favorite Crème Brulee with fresh strawberries and my husband Phil had the Cheesecake with wild berry compote. This meal rivaled if not beat my all time favorite steakhouse in Atlanta. Chef Mimmo you have out done yourself!!! Me and my friends and colleagues will be customers for life.
I wanted to thank you for a wonderful dinning experience on Valentine’s day. My wife and I really enjoyed the dinning experience your restuarant provided. My wife made reservations three days ago and there was some confusion around the valentine’s day dinner menu but instead of allowing us to leave your restaurant dissapointed you accomidated our wishes which is unheard of by any master chef. My wife and I have dined at several Steak & Seafood restaurants in Georgia such as Chop’s and Hal’s which was our favorite until now. Maya restaurant is in a league of its own, your customer service is second to none & our steaks were cooked to perfection. Needless to say we’ll be dinning in your restaurant from now on.

Not every day one is lucky enough to meet extraordinary men and on Sunday the fate put us against one: Mimmo Alboumeh, Chef / Owner of Maya, the new restaurant on Roswell Road that day wanted to visit.The experience could not have been nicer. The impregnated food very appetizing fragrance, delicious as could be; bread, butter, a shortening and had never tasted, according Mimmo’s mixed with some exotic herbs .. The atmosphere is such that we wanted to know who was the owner and the friendly Maitre took us to a young man sitting in a corner drinking coffee.Meet Mimmo is itself a man unforgettable.The experience radiates a contagious sympathy and when he speaks of his vocation tells us that he went into the kitchen as a child.When Mimmo speaks of the meats used in the cuisine it gives a dignified academic dissertation. But to become an extraordinary Chef one has to have a flair that is where the palate lies and Mimmo is how well developed it is also a great Gourmet by your palate must approbar what it serves its customers.
